A ceremony to celebrate the completion of Ishikari Community Wind Farm, which started commercial operation in December 2018, was held at site on a beautiful sunny day, welcoming about 200 people. The three-hour event included greetings from various parties, presentation of letters of appreciation, and a mini live performance.

The nickname for the wind turbine generator, "Rera Kuru" was chosen from among the local elementary school studens. "Rera" means "wind" in the language of the Ainus, the original inhabitants of Hokkaido area. Thank you all for your entries!
